Testing for the Tour de France

 
We recently discovered that Bradley Wiggins, a favorite to win the current Tour de France, relies on bikes with Instron-tested handlebars! Peter Giddings and his colleagues at Bath University use a 3369 testing system to perform load-deflection tests on the bars.  Their test simulates the cornering forces that Wiggins exerts on the handlebars as he makes his way through the Tour de France.
